The Freedom Center for Social Justice officially launched our “Do No Harm” Campaign on July 24th. The premise of the campaign is encouraging members of the community to commit to do no harm through interpretation of holy text or other religious writings. This includes harm caused on the basis of sexual orientation, gender expression, race or faith tradition. We are bringing the launch to your attention to find out ways that you would like to participate in helping us bring local and national attention to this effort. Our goal for Charlotte is to have 1000 signatures of those committing to the Do No Harm Cause!
Here are a few ways you can help:
-Post our digital pledge card online with a link to our website and share with all of your organization’s followers
-Share this information with area clergy, lay people and other members of the community who no longer want to see religion used as a weapon.
-Sign the pledge yourself, and encourage your own personal and organizational networks to do the same!
We would love each of you to get involved, so email us back with the ways in which you would like to help and we will send you promotional materials, dates, locations and other pertinent information.
